Custom Jewellery creation is an intricate and intimate process that combines creativity and craftsmanship in a well-equipped workshop. The journey begins with a stage called conceptualization, where the client presents GDT with his/her idea or concept. Our experienced staff will work with the client to create a detailed sketch, that we call a CAD-rendering. This CAD-rendering is a computer rendering of the client’s item from 4 different angles.

Jewellery Manufacturing Process

1. Free consultation with the client to establish the design, the budget and to inform the client of the best options that add value to money.
2. The design of a 3-D Rendering on a computer of your Jewellery item – this entails detailed sketches from 4 different angles that will give the client an exact picture of how the Jewellery item will look. These sketches need to be approved by the client before the manufacturing starts. [See sketches below]
3. A wax print is then made of the 3-D Rendering sketches which will act as the casting model. This ensures that the client’s ring looks 100% like the sketches approved. The casting is done by a big laboratory which also ensures that the highest quality of gold/metals been used.
4. The stones are to be set by dedicated setters who’s only job is to set stones.
